The De Santo Agricultural Farm produces an oil made with Peranzana olive variety, grown in the countryside of Torremaggiore, the extra virgin oil obtained is superior because it has a very low acidity: Matteo personally oversees the harvest and the transport, avoiding damage to the fruit during these operations making theme in the shortest possible time.
Peranzana variety has a yield much lower of other cultivars, but the oil obtained is rich in carotenoids and polyphenols giving a pleasant fruity aroma. The oil taste warned by the palate is very balanced, evoking the fresh grass, almond and green tomato with a slightly bitter aftertaste: it favours pairing with meats, legumes, fish and vegetables. The oil is great raw and perfect as a condiment.
The extra virgin olive oil “De Santo evo” is cold extracted maintaining a temperature of <27° in all phases of the production process, finally it is bottled in glass bottles from 0,25 to 0,5 – 0,75 litre and in tin cans from 3 to 5 litres.
Our bottles are equipped with anti-fill cap. An exclusive anti-filling system that ensures the producer and the consumer against the risk of fraud and topping up with other oils. The whole closure is engaged to the mouth of the bottle, it can not be removed without damage. The system tamper evident (TE), with mechanical failure of a plastic ring when first opened, allowing the consumer to variety “at first glance” the integrity of the packaging.
The pourer cut and-drop and frangi-stream allows a perfect dosing, avoiding drippings on the bottle.
